John Enot  - Photographer

John Enot is a professional fashion & swimwear photographer who hails from the battle-hardened city of Detroit.  Originally a mid-level executive for one of the world’s largest auto manufacturers, his career came to a screeching halt during the economic downturn of the late 2000’s.  Like so many thousands of people who lost their jobs in the automotive industry, John had to completely re-tool his life and come up with a Plan B.

It was during this time that John rediscovered a long forgotten passion as he stumbled across an old film camera that his father had gotten him many years earlier while he was still in high school.  He dusted it off and put a few rolls of film through it, got really excited when the prints came back from the lab, and decided to take some of the last money he still had saved to purchase a modern day full-frame digital camera.

Before long, he began mentoring with a well-respected local fashion photographer and embarked on a two year-long journey and deep dive into all aspects of the craft, including photo editing.  When he finally emerged after the countless hours of study, practice, a whole lot of Detroit hustle…  John had indeed re-invented himself and become one of the most sought after fashion & portrait photographers in the region.

He has since shot all over the world for such iconic brands as Balmain, The Blonds, Versace, Christian Audiger, and legendary Mexican fashion designer Edoardo Rocha. He has also shot with such fashion icons as Ms. Sophia Loren, Linda Evangelista, European pop star & fashion diva Jelena Karleusa, several Sports Illustrated Swimwear Models, and US Olympic Champion & civil rights pioneer Dr. Melvin Pender to name a few. He has even had his photos featured in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C.

In 2017, John founded the International fashion publication AVANTI MODA MAGAZINE and remains the Editor-in-Chief.

These days John is a regular at such prestigious fashion industry events such as New York & Paris fashion weeks, Art Basel, Miami Swim Week, and recently was the principal photographer for the Balmain runway show in Miami. He can be seen hosting red carpet events and conducting on camera interviews for the likes of Sports Illustrated Swimwear… and recently joined the exclusive Confessional Showroom as the Media Director for their runway shows.

John’s passion is to create art.  He loves to incorporate bold colors into his photos, and he is a master at creating vintage-styled portraits.  He sees each photo he takes as an individual piece of art and sometimes spends hours bringing a photo to life, much like a painter who transforms a blank canvas into a masterpiece.  His advice to anyone in life… quite simply… follow your passions!  One never knows where they might lead.
